This 72.8 GB 15,000RPM Hot Swap Drive is for all HP Netservers with the old style Half Height hot swap bays such as the LC3. This increase capacity was never available from HP, but we can offer it today to keep your older Netservers up to date!>

Tech Note: We apologize, but currently there is no 72GB 15,000 RPM drive that can be configured to be compatible with this Netserver series drive controllers. This Netserver series requires a controller and drive bay, Ultra320 Upgrade. See the RAID section for more information.

Netserver Ultra2/3 SCSI hot-swap hard disk drives make available higher I/O bandwidth and can work with longer cable lengths than Ultra drives while using almost half the power as the original wide ultra drives. Ultra2 drives operate at SCSI bus data rates of up to 80 MB per second--doubles the rate of Ultra/Wide SCSI and Ultra3 Ultra320 quadruples the rate. With Ultra2/3 Drives, HP NetRAID environments and applications will show immediate increases in performance. Ultra2/3 drives are sometimes referred to as LVD (low voltage differential) drives. The low voltage requirement allows integration of the differential drivers and receivers into the SCSI controller. LVD also allows for significantly longer SCSI bus cable lengths. Netserver Hard Drives are provided compatible to the Single End SCSI Bus of older Netservers, but can be reconfigured to LVD Bus in the field, offering the flexibility and expandability to meet your growing storage capacity requirements .
